So who knows? Message 2 of In response to creekcoyote. I'm sure it all depends on what you are listing at auction. Message 3 of Message 4 of In response to keziak. Most likely. Check out some shipping best practices! It is my understanding that the producers of this DVD set believe that any resale of their product and I mean the originals, not someone burning copies of them is a copyright infringement in spite of what our copyright laws state. Sadly, they have eBay believing their nonsense and aggressively shut down anyone who would dare to have the audacity to exercise their resale rights.
The only solution to that problem is to deny them any revenue, and shun their products as if they were plagueridden. Remember, having customers is a privilege, not a right. And the only recourse We the People have is to simply not patronize them, since there is nothing that can be done to stop them here.
If you have originals and want to resell them, it is best to use a venue that does not bow to such a company's every whim, or sell locally.
This goes back to that discussion about makeup products where some were saying they have a right to sell anything they want as long as they bought it legally.
You should contact them to see what their excuse is. They will likely ignore you or send a form letter explaining nothing specific about your listing. At that point you should file a counternotice.
But if you used their photos or ad copy then as petty as it is they had a right to pull the listing and you should probably not even bother trying to work it out so you can relist.
Anywhere except eBay. The ones who are aggressive about shutting down resellers have the PHBs here convinced that they are special snowflakes who are fully deserving of rights above and beyond what our IP laws dictate. And those are the ones who deserve nothing but bankruptcy. Man, I wish I would have seen this sooner. I just bought one. I have no idea if I will get it now. I have been watching these DVD's for a while now, and jumped at the chance to get a good deal.
I feel so dumb. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't file a claim for 10 days or something, right? I just bought this and then saw this post of yours. I'm worried because I bought Insanity for I have to wait 10 days to see if the item comes before I file a claim? Did you end up receiving your item and did it work? The seller wrote me right after the sale bc I wrote them asking for tracking number and they did reply that I would get one.
Ebay sent me a message today saying the item has been removed a day later from when I purchased the item and it was confirmed. Im hoping that I receive the item no later than the 10 days from the actual delivery date. So would you all suggest I contact the seller for the track number?
Hopefully they comply and give me one. I did the same thing as you all but I didn't receive the insanity set yet.. Did it take a while for it to come in the mail? I'm also curious to find out how long it took to be delivered to your place after you ordered it. Right after I purchased it and the payment went through on PayPal, EBay removed the items for sell by the seller and notified me that if paid for the item that I should still receive it.
It was to take 10 days for the shipping. I wrote to the seller asking if the item was still being shipped. List your unwanted things for FREE!!! I won't sell on here EVER!!!! I DO love to buy, though, and I hate how they are making that more and more precarious for me -- how are they making sure that a great variety of the smaller sellers who sell the stuff I love the most are going to come here to sell???
Could ebay be THAT stupid??? Sellers, please enlighten me on how to contact my sellers without harming their store or rating or whatever! And please tell me how else I can pay them without using Paypal which I always use, but don't want to NOW -- I've paid outside of ebay for repeat buying of items from sellers I've met on here, and I use the "paying Family Member" selection when I send them money, so they don't get any fees at all!!
What would the PERFECT buyer purchase look like from a buyer who likes to send thank you messages after, before leaving 5star feedback [for every seller - never a reason not to]??? But, but, buyer person, you are supposed to order some sunglasses, a cell phone, a cell phone cover, and some wierd looking modern furniture, and be a follower, and get into those collections things. Oh wait, a telescope, got to have a telescope. The OP has some selling experience that can be seen in FB left as a seller but it is over 12 months old and she has no DSRs so she isn't a recent or frequent seller.
Some people prefer a more personal buying experience. The OP obviously feels that eBay now lacks that personal touch. I do too. Selling here used to be fun. Now, not so much. I also prefer Etsy's atmosphere. I am a seller and buyer there. Are you really just complaining because you are a seller and you are worried a buyer may contact you?
Thank you Gopetersen and Retrose1 for all of your posts on this board. And everyone else They are much appreciated. I dusted my room out at Aunt Betsys a few months ago, it had been several years since I had been home. I am so happy that sometimes I just get the "creepy giggles" if you know what I mean.
I have been stunned by how few people pay with paypal at Aunt Betsys. Perhaps paypal has been losing customers since the security problems and now are trying to lure them back with this new return time. You would never understand Rand, the OP is of the original Ebay members that came here based on the old principles of eBay when it was a much friendlier place where sending messages of thanks was common place and considered to be polite.
The OP did nothing more than explain why they no longer like eBay, and that they will go to places that are much more like the old eBay and have found the sellers that were chased away from here. They don't always chime in but they read up. This displays how policy change has chased away two demographics that are now setting up on the competitions website.
This shows that others that were chased away went there as well.
