Why do i like korn

Me: Duh. In case you hand't notice, the sexist days of 'boys listen to metal and girls listen to britney spears' is well and truly over. Piss off. A nu-metal band, most popular in the late 's and early 's. Famous for their legions of highly-defensive fans who write long screeds assuring the world that they the fans are not goths, poseurs, thirteen years old, suburban kids, wannabes, Hot Topic shoppers , stoners, or otherwise useless globs of angst and conformity; and that the band is, or is not, "nu-metal", "hardcore", "mainstream", "tru-metal", " alternative metal ", or any number of other meaningless, media-created subgenres used to further divide "the consumers" into more-specific and thus, more easily marketed to categories.

Jeez, are they defensive much? I mean, you can get info about the band, sure Simply the greatest band ever. A band that was formed in in Bakersfield, California, and emerged with their first album "KoRn" in The album was a hit in the metal world, as no one had heard anything like it ever before. Although not containing the best technical skill, he does his best with what talent he has and creates some really catchy riffs aka evolution.

Fieldy - Bassist - Although at one time probably the worst bassist in the music industry, Fieldy has really matured his sound and style and pioneered the slap-bass technique.

You can really hear his skill in songs like "Here to Stay" and " Got the Life ". I am not going to both mentioning Head and David as they are no longer a part of KoRn Now for a more personal note. I love KoRn. No, I am not some 12 year old kid with an attitude problem, No, I do not like Slipknot. KoRn is a band, whether or not you think they are metal, is your opinion, but like it or not, they are huge, and sell out concerts all over the world.

The common misconception is that KoRn is pussy metal , or whatever the fuck you want to call it. These statements are made by ignorant people who have a never listened to them - and - b followed the crowd with the rest of their "true-metal" friends.

My question to them is, what is "True Metal"? Metallica, Slayer? I listen to all of that, and if "True-metal" is heavy stuff like that, then black sabbath and led zeppelin arent true metal Case and point , dont judge a band you dont know anything about, because your bands get trashed by people too, and dont tell me it doesnt annoy you.

Accept the fact that other people like other music, and dont act the badass because you like death metal or hardcore Yes urban dictionary, this was mainly made to silence the shitheads who have nothing better to do than dis my music. Me: obviously not The band recently wrapped up a tour that celebrated 20 years of their debut, and to the singer, it felt bittersweet.

Back when Korn came out in the mids, they were the freaks of the freaks. Dressed in Adidas tracksuits with tattooed arms and twisted dreadlocks, gold chains hanging from their necks, the five-piece was unlike any other. No one really knew what to do with Korn. Korn had a safe space to heal not only themselves, but fans who found their darker lyrics relatable. Because we like to see people smile.

But he does, because back in the day, it was his bands that got him through: Duran Duran, The Cure. Any vulnerability he felt was erased when he saw how many people were able to relate. User Info: Goldenguy. Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. Ignorance, prejudice, and fear walk hand in hand.

User Info: Darkside I'd be up for some Korn DLC, as long as they only put up songs from their first 3 albums. User Info: NotJim. I don't know why everybody doesn't like them, but I can tell you the point I started hating them.

The moment I found out that their new album twisted transistor i think was written by the same guy that wrote Brittany Spears first album. I kind of wished they died in bus crash after that.

Doctor, you said you'd cure my cancer but all you did was rape me- Family Guy. User Info: mrbeefy Korn is incredibly underrated. They are much better musicians than they seem to be. I'm fairly pleasant, and listen to them because they're good musicians. I listen to pretty much every genre of music, and Korn doesn't seem to be the average stereotypical nu-metal band. Watch Korn Unplugged to see what I mean. And yes, Fieldy is overrated. I'm a jazz drummer, a statistician, I have a 70,song iTunes library, and Pokemon was my entire childhood.

User Info: metallica I thought all there albums were great especially the last couple. I dont know what the one guy is talking about with the brittany spears thing. If you mean "produced" then okay
